Myrtle Beach Festivals

There are lots of Myrtle Beach Festivals presented throughout the year. Some, of course, celebrate seafood and our local fishing heritage. Other’s feature our rivers and agricultural treasures. We can’t begin to list them all, but we’ll try to present some of the larger, family-friendly ones here.

Local Myrtle Beach Festivals

36th Annual World Famous Blue Crab Festival

Date: May 20 & 21, 2017

Hours:  9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day

Where:  Little River, on the Waterfront

Cost:  $4.00 per day Advance Ticket, $5.00 per day General Admission

More than 50,000 hungry crab lovers flood the Little River waterfront each year for what is one of the largest seafood festivals in the Southeast. Over 300 fine arts and crafts and specialty food vendors display and sell their ware, along with live entertainment and a children’s area.


Festa Italiana

Date: June 24 & 25, 2017

Hours: 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, 12 noon to 7 p.m. Sunday   

Where: Market Common

Cost: Admission per day $1 per person

The Myrtle Beach Sons of Italy bring all things Italian to the Market Common for a two-day festival of food and fun. Eat and drink your way through Neapolitan pizza, sausage and pepper sandwiches, ravioli, Italian ices, and Italian wines and beers. Plus there'll be arts and crafts, kids’ activities, live music, and a spaghetti eating contest. Now THAT's Italian!


Conway Riverfest

Date:  July 1, 2017

Hours:  11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Where:  Riverfront in Conway, SC

Cost:  $5 per person, children 12 and under free

The city of Conway’s biggest annual event, Riverfest includes live entertainment, a business expo, arts and crafts, and a golf cart parade. The ends with fireworks over the river. Bring your chairs and blankets to watch the shows.


38th Aynor Harvest Hoe-Down Festival

Date:  September 16, 2017   (always the 3rd Sat in Sept)

Hours:  9:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Where:  Aynor Town Park, 600 South Main Street, Aynor, SC

Arts and crafts, a parade, live musical entertainment, a street dance, and children’s activities can all be found in Aynor at this long-running festival, one of South Carolina’s oldest and largest. Their motto is, “Have a big time in a small town.”
