Looking for business networking opportunities in the North
Myrtle Beach area? Check out the once a month gathering of local women
entrepreneurs at Grapefull Sisters Vineyard’s wine and business mixer.
Located just across the border of North and South Carolina, northeast
of Longs, Grapefull Sisters Vineyard and Carrollwoods RV Park is a winery,
wedding venue, and outdoor destination rolled into one. The onsite RV “campground
in the country” features tent sites as well as an inn, and it stays busy. So,
too, does the winery where they offer wine tasting Monday through Saturday from
1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Every third Thursday, the Vineyard opens its front porch for
local business women to promote their products and services. Everyone representing
a business is welcome, whether it’s home-party products or web design services,
and everyone gets the chance to speak.
The structure is simple and informal. Bring your “elevator speech,” no more than three minutes, and talk about your product or service. You can bring samples, brochures, and of course, your business cards to hand out.
Each month one business is featured to present a 30-minute
program that can include a demonstration, free samples, or whatever best
showcases your business. Women entrepreneurs come from both North and South
Carolina, from Tabor City to Tidewater, and the businesses include products and
services for women’s safety, beauty and skin care, personalized bags and totes,
jewelry, locally grown produce and foods, and more.
Along with snacks supplied by some of the group’s
participants, the Grapefull Sisters wine bar is open for anyone to purchase a
glass of wine to sip while networking. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable,
and there is no formal “joining” of the group. Just show up and enjoy.
Business Networking on the Porch is a free event and is open to any woman who owns or operates a local business. The group meets every third Thursday of the month from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the front porch at Grapefull Sisters Vineyard, located at 95 Dots Drive, Tabor City, North Carolina, off Ramsey Ford Road, just south of Highway 904. Visit the Grapefull Sisters Vineyard Facebook Page, or call the vineyard at 910-653-2944 or 910-653-5538 for more information.
